Oowwww. It isn't as fun to be running mid pack. Massa's 2DNFs don't bode well. This one must have been water. Was the other KERS? In any event I hope we will see a revised car arrive. To answer the question. Yes we stink. At least so far. We may make a couple podiums with improvement. I would be very surprised at this point if we win anything. A new car would probably be needed for that. While not "throwing in the towel" I would start using the time to develop KERS. How will teams without this experience fair next year? Good question huh?
I heard KERS was removed from both cars... Here's the link: http://blogf1.co.uk/2009/04/17/shanghai-2009-ferrari-say-kers-removal-not-helping/
Either you are a tifosi, or you are not. I support the Scuderia even if they are not winning. I do not expect, nor do I want them to win the championships every year. Above all I am an F1 fan, and for F1 to continue to survive, it needs to see teams other than Ferrari and McLaren win these championships. And this year the absolute best results have been occuring, the Brawn and Red Bull winning, the Toyotas and sometimes the Williams showing promise, I find this to be an excellent season. If Ferrari places 3rd or 4th in the WCC even last, no problem, I think it is great that other teams have the chance to take home those trophies. Ferrari will return to its winning ways, but now, the cycle has come to be that other teams and drivers are at the top. This is wonderful. Nevertheless, if I find a way to get to an F1 race this year, I will still wear my Ferrari shirt with pride.
Nice post Ron. I believe most of us here feel this way also. It is dissapointing though nontheless. KERS was out I think to try to compete for the season. I think there will come a time when it will go in for the remainder of the season. But what do I know?
No. I actually purchased one of their cars and am therefore a sponsor of the company. How about you????
This is it, in a nutshell........well said! Next to the lean years of the late 70's and '80s you ain't seen hard times! LOL!
Yes BT, since we last chatted, one year ago met an incredible woman, a school teacher in Mexico, got engaged last week in Central Park NYC, took a job teaching business English, in English, at a prestigious university in Mexico. I start in about a month. Only problem, this is not a place to own or drive a Ferrari. You put Ferrari stickers on your Fiat or Mitsubishi. But, the local Sear's is the place to go for Ferrari stuff. Go figure. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cute girl - sorry to hear that she has vision problems The question is, if you live in a place called Chihuahua, are you necessarily gay, or just almost certainly gay? Just teasing you big guy... happiness is job #1.
Massa was in third when his car failed. This is going to be an interesting season. Entertaining so far.
I agree that this is going to be an interesting season, but not because Massa was temporarily in 3rd. That's pretty meaningless given the various pit stops and the chaos of the rain. Fact is, that in qualifying the Ferraris are in mid field and that's pretty much where they'll end up if they ever manage to cross the finish line.
Andreas, I still think the season has plenty of time, and I think they will get it together this season for some wins. Now the thing is, based on the fact that KERS might be limited to one supplier how soon will they begin to get the 2010 car going?
From James Allen on Twitter: Kimi expects to be a lot closer to the front at next race in Spain when new diffuser comes. (can be worth between 3/10ths and 1 sec/lap)
