When my Mondial is cold the car does not accelerate very well. I step on the gas and
there is a slight delay before the car starts to move. During the lag time between stepping
on the accelerator and it moving. The car coughs and misfires before it starts to
move. When the car has warmed up it seems like its a lot easier to drive but I still
get a delay from the time I step on the gas to the time it starts to accelerate.
Is this normal? if it is there a fix for it?

Not normal. Something is out of whack in the CIS. But without some troubleshooting wouldn't even guess based on what you posted.

It could also be a weak ignition. When either cold or accelerating the fuel mixture in the cylinder will be denser and therefore harder to ignite. You could rule this out with an inspection of the plugs. Assuming you bought the car recently, it's worth noting that the ignition components are expensive enough that they don't get replaced too often. Good luck.
