That should be normal. As the oil warms up, it thins out, and the pressure drops. What is important is that the reading is consistent, and doesn't flutter quickly.
The pressure should vary, but the gauge should move in a fluid manner, and not jittery.

That looks very low. If I remember correctly, I think my pressure showed a little under the first line.
Is the low oil pressure light on? It looks like it is. If it is, you need to have it checked by a mechanic. They can put their gauge on it to see if the reading agrees with the car sensor. If not, then you just need a new sensor. If it agrees. you may have an oil pressure issue.

For the original question, a 24mm thin bike wrench does the job without removing the filter.

Those stepper motors tend to go bad also. The sending units are crap and that’s the first place to go. They also have silicone socks that keep the heat off the unit. It’s rare a 360 motor will actually have low oil pressure.

Hi Guys here is the latest update on my car. I removed the oil sensor and then I installed the oil pressure gauge at first cold engine ride above 70 then it dropped to 13. As I mentioned the car only has a 20,000 miles on it it seems a little impossible to have a problem, My question is what can cause the pressure to drop so low.
