So i live in the downtown core and even with my current car i still decide to cab it everywhere i go.. since parking is going to cost me 10$ anyway- and a cab only costs 15$, but the convenience is huge especially if i decide to go for a few drinks.

So im wondering, with all the traffic, speed bumps and crappy roads.. im going to imagine u dont get the full use out of the ferrari and it can't be that much pleasureable to drive on the road. Yes- u can still take it to the track... but purely as a vehicle for use in the city is it kinda dumb to buy one?

inb4suggestions of buying a much cheaper car.

I live deep in the core of Toronto (St Lawrence Market) and I own an FCar. I do not need it for work, I do not need it for errands. I do need it for the passion i feel towards cars and I do not regret having it.

Take it out of the city on a gorgeous day and you will forget about the speed bumps, the stop and go and all the rest of the crap that goes with dense urban living. Owning an FCar does not mean you have to be on the track to enjoy. A spirited flogging through a twisty road or a leisure drive along a waterfront with the windows down are two ways to paint a smile on your face.

If you can afford one, then there is no reason to justify it. You may end up taking a few less cabs in the end and you can put that towards the "FCar pays for itself fund"

I live in the heart of downtown and drive a Murci. The pro: beautiful women everywhere who always love the sighting of an exotic car, the con: clutching so much. Overall if you figure out the proper routes than you are fine. I generally take Lakeshore everywhere anyways, nice drive and not too much traffic.

Used to live downtown and found it frustrating. I ended up leaving my car at the cottage - great roads and little traffic. Now I live at the cottage for 6 months/year and feel like I've died and gone to heaven. One or two hour drive almost every day. Mind you, if I hit a deer or a moose I will have died and gone to heaven.
