    Is there any reason I should spend $247 for a Porsche battery?

    I can get an Interstate battery that will fit my car for around $60 +$3 for an adapter.

    I must have done that over 100 times...........Porsche batteries are a rip off.

    Unless you are a keen on originality. Interstate is a better battery then Porsche batteries and what I've been using for many years with no issues.

    Okay I will use an Interstate battery. I just wanted to make sure there was not some special reason to have a Porsche battery.

    Not only is it ok, its an upgrade; std Moll batteries suck

    It has been my experience that once a Moll is dead it can never be recharged.

    Never once have I ever bought a Porsche battery! I have owned over 20 Porsches and never have I ever bought the Porsche brand battery. In fact they even sell Interstate batteries at my Porsche dealership (Beverly Hills Porsche). Make sure it is the right battery, the P cars don't give you much room

    The only reason I considered a Porsche one was because it has some weird nonstandard cable that plugs in to the battery.

    Just make sure your new battery is vented property.
