His greatness is recognized universally. He's simply the best there is at the moment the best of a generation. His never back down has won him as many detractors as fans especially among those who think he doesn't belong in the sport in the first place even thou he's a 2x WDC on his way to a third. The majorty of this section of Ferrarichat is dedicated to try and disprove his greatness which actually only proves how great he his! All of these useless polls threads and post shows how important he is not only to F1 but to you personally. He's done and doing so well you will spend hours trying to find a chink in his armor. Its like the blind leading the blind around here because if he wasn't great driver and a legend in the making he wouldn't even be mention, like so many others on the grid. Too funny...
Maybe "working class" to him means anyone who has to have a job? ; ) Seriously though, it is simply a reflection of insecurity IMHO and it's insulting to people that have actually lived the struggles associated with having no money.
The "rag-to-riches" story habout Hamilton has been grossly overdone. I know that the British tabloids like to exagerate when they focus on individuals Hamilton doesn't come from a poor family, nor a deprived area. He was born in a middle-class family, where his father was a director in two companies he created and owned. Stevenhage is a quiet town, inhabited by mostly well-to-do folks; not exactly a ghetto Also, it should be told that Hamilton received sponsorship from the age of 12. His career was mapped by Ron Dennis. He benefited from the best equipment in all the categories he competed before he arrived in F1.
Well, that's the point of the two threads...... the opinion of the overwhelming majority of people on here is NOT the same as yours. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but so is everyone else. AND...just for your own edification, if the majority of people on here don't see Lewis as their favourite current driver OR the best current driver, then that doesn't mean they think he's not a great driver or that they hate him. It just means they think others drive better/equal AND they prefer other drivers. Nothing more. I'm sure you won't accept that....but that's reality and THAT'S the end of the thread
When were you last in Stevenage? Stevenage old Town is inhabited by "mostly well-to-do folks", but Stevenage new Town is a run down 1970's concrete "New Town" that in places is a complete s:censored:thole! I used to live in Baldock and went to college in Stevenage! - I was there only a couple of weeks ago and I can guarantee you that there are parts of it that you wouldn't want to walk through after dark!
I just noticed this poll is closed. 10 people (one vote was facetious) think Lewis is the best driver on the grid. 86 people think he's not the best driver on the grid. Now....can the Lewis fanbois (none of whom seemed to vote) just leave the vast majority of us to have our own opinion without you ramming yours down our throat? It does NOT mean we hate him......it just means, without taking anything away from his abilities, we don't think he's better than everyone else on the grid.
