Here we go again, back for a couple hours and the twisting and turning begins...... It was good while it lasted I suppose. Never mind, my mum had a saying that covers situations like this, and it starts 'little things............'
I'd like to think that we are all sensible enough to separate the driver and team to decide if he is our 'favourite' driver or not. I would not like Elton the man even if he did drive for Ferrari (God forbid, don't ever do it Ferrari, the politics would take us back to the 70's), and I couldn't support his erratic emotional states when driving regardless. He is a good driver, as we have all pretty much said, but he has deep flaws that prevent him being the best of the current generation, let alone the best of all time. IMO he must be looking over his shoulder at young max, he is a revelation, and with nurturing, has every chance of bringing the same excitement without the emotional breakdowns of Elton very soon
The 1% that makes FA significantly better than any other driver including LH was on display when FA was at Ferrari. LH is not doing that and has never done that. I am not a large FA fan at all. Taking a known under rated car and winning. Thats a large discriminator. As far as making sense its in front of you. The poll numbers as displayed. Its not rocket science at all. This small sample yielded a given result. So move on and your headache will dissipate. You are border line trolling a very simple and obvious result.
Dear toil, dear tesla certainly everybody has the right on his own opinion and we have the freedom of speech but what is the goal to log into a Ferrari-Forum trying to convince people that Hamilton is the GOAT? It is like entering a Nikon-Forum telling them that Canon does build better stuff...You will not succeed, especially if you call everyone unreasonable and blind not seeing the obvious! You complained about this forum being moderated by single-sided mods only banning Hamilton-fans, the majority of its members are biased and not as clever as you and the overall mentallity is "Auschwitz" (as toil repeatingly mentioned). But still you can not wait to log in as soon as your ban is lifted to be back in full force...So what is your motivation? Is it masochism? Need of attention? Sorry, but I do not understand it and I have the impression that I am not alone with that...It is apparently not the interest in a discussion as you rarely react on other users arguments but repeat mantra-like the same phrases over and over again...
Hamilton is not THE GOAT but a GOAT. As is any triple and more WDC is. Anybody trying to take that away from him or any multiple WDC is missing the point of F1. And no, you dont luck into having the best car. There is a lot more to getting the best car and turning it into poles and wins than luck.

Hi Pete, I have been in and out here for years. Don't post much in here though, I do all my post-whoring in other sections.
+1 It's like attending a celebrity roast, where the roast is being honored by folk getting off on making snide remarks about them ..surely a lame attempt at a joke. I'am impressed he has as many votes as he has, there again personally, I wouldn't him to be too popular on here, I find it funny reading myriads of reasons why he grates on folks nerves.
He missed at least 5 votes from banned people (I never got a vote). So put that nearer 20% which isn't bad since he's one/20
Dear oh dear...... Really hurts does it, being in the minority? Ferrari are always touted as having the most fans in F1, seas of red at races..... Doesn't make them the best team for everyone though, yet none of us are sad about it, maybe we should start a petition
Yep, I couldn't be bothered to put the case to bed with a bang. Ferrari always wins regardless, why would I need to bother?
Really? Well in Hamiltons case lets start with McLaren his rookie year. Obviously he must've had massive input to make that such a stellar car. I'm pretty sure it was Rosberg who built the foundation of the current Mercedes F1 team. But that's right, Lewis helped develop the Power Unit that is dominating the sport. You don't think Vettel lucked into Red Bull? Newey had nothing to do with it? Some guys help develop, some guys luck into it. Hamilton lucked into it. As everyone has said, he's never had to start in a crap team. He went McLaren to Mercedes. According to the logic of some people, given that the car placed 2nd in 2011, he should've won. That car was capable. Same thing in his rookie year. It was obviously capable of winning so he should've walked away with the WDC that year. Its unbelievable that the Lewis Hamilton fans really make it impossible to root for him. I was such a fan of his, especially 2013 when they were clocking those pole positions over red bull until that ridiculous tire change.
lol...5 banned people, you say? Mind telling me who they were? regardless, it's still only the very noisy minority causing all the noise about him. And of the people who voted him as favourite, only a handful of them make the irrational fanboi posts...the rest admire and prefer him like normal people without being OTT
There's also a noisy anti-Hamilton minority who continued to post stuff in the days when the so called fanbois weren't around, so 'the noise' isn't all on one side.
Of course Newey designed the RB into a winner. Just as the AMG guys did with the Merc and as Brawn and others did with the Ferraris, which gave MS his titles. However Vettel landing at RB was not luck but clever planning on his part by joining the RB jr. team AND by showing his insane talent with a win (the only ever for that car) at Monza. Had nothing to do with luck. No he did not luck into it. He too was very clever and took a giant gamble when he left McLaren. When he made the decision the Mercs were 5th in the constructors championship. In other words: A midfield car. EVERYBODY on here was laughing at him and stating what a fool he was to get into that car. Then he changed things around. How much influence he had in developing the car immediately I don't know, but I have no doubts that ever since he helped develop the car. As does any WDC, as did Vettel at RB and MS at Ferrari. And once again: I'm not a Hamilton fan. But it is beyond me how people are trying to write off his immense talent to luck. A driver might luck into a victory (e.g. Panis at the Monaco Grand Prix) or into a great car and "steal" a championship (Mansell in the Williams) but even that is debatable as no sane team owner gives a golden car to a monkey (and Mansell was no monkey, but earned that car with all his previous accomplishments). Keke Rosberg might have lucked into the title when he did (although he had to first stay alive that year, which wasn't a given) but lightening doesn't strike twice. Show me a F1 driver who lucked into 2 titles? Or even 3? Doesn't exist. Then again I'm not surprised as some on here claimed Vettel lucked into 4 titles in the RB. Yeah right. PS: The most telling part to me is always what the #2 driver in the team does with the super ueber car. Berger, Patrese, Surer, Barichello, Webber and Rosberg all had the perfect cars in their hands yet they all got left behind by their dominant #1 team mate, who clinched the title. In some cases it was not even close, but rather embarrassing. And that's why a super car by itself doesn't guarantee a WDC. You also need the top echelon driver to bring the beacon home.
