If anyone is familiar with the garbage going on with Detroit's mayor right now, there are some scary parallels as far as how they both think and act like they are above anything and everything, and how no matter how bad or embarrassing the scandal is that they both think they are untouchable.

Another ridiculous thread. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Has anyone here seen the video? All I have heard is that the video showed someone that is supposed to be Mosley. Has anyone truly identified this as Mosley?

Can anyone here say without any doubt they know that Mosley is in this video, or that the video is actually authentic? Or are you reading too many issues of the National Enquirerer? And no, I wasn't there when Nicole Simpson died either, so I have no idea who killed her either.

I think he has acknowledged that it was him but that there was no Nazi element involved. If that's correct then I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. What is he guilty of? He wasn't running around in public doing a PeeWee Herman or George Michael. It would appear someone secretly taped him and then made it public. If anybody is guilty of anything it's this person(s).

Is that enough proof for you? The man admits it.

He should be gone immediately. People in public positions face public scrutiny for their actions. I really don't get why anyone supports him. Then again, I have never been a customer to a prostitute and I think it's a reprehensible act to do so, especially to do so with 5 hookers while married with kids. It affects his ability to do his job and therefore he should be gone, period, IMO.

 

Let's not forget that the most powerful man in the world did something that many/most considered inappropriate, did it in the "house" that we (U.S. citizens) pay for with our taxes while we paid his salary and then he lied to the world about it. He was rather more influential and important in the big scheme of things and he remained in his job until the end of his "contract" (President of the U.S.)

I sense that there are a lot of people that depise Max Mosley for various reasons and they want to oust him for any far-fetched reason. Let me add that I'm NOT a Max Mosley fan. As far as I'm concerned he has to answer to his wife and family, not to me.

That's why he apologized, unless he's going to claim that its actually the Evil Max (like Evil Spock) that was engaging in that behaviour, and the video was shot in an alternate universe and obtained through a yet to be developed transporter system gone awry.

If your toys don’t include a Swastika then good on you. The real question is do you enjoy anything other than that F car in the garage? Like maybe your “SO”? Max has issues no doubt, yet let us keep it in perspective. As to the Nazi thing, I am sure that there are some out there that have had thoughts, if made public, are just as repugnant.

"Insane" is a legal term. Max is a lawyer, so if anyone would know it would be him. Maybe that's his ultimate goal, to be declared insane.

I'm not a pchiatrist, but I believe the correct term for Max is "sociopath." He doesn't care who he hurts, clearly. He continues to insist that he "did nothing wrong." He also clearly beleieves he can fool others into accepting his lies. And for some he has succeeded. When a soi-disant former fascist says "my actions may look Nazi-inspired, but there's no proof that they are Nazi-inspired" only a determined apologist can believe him.

Max, you were a Nazi lover when you were younger, and the actions on this video prove that you still are a Nazi lover. Otherwise you would never do anything that so blatantly recalls your Nazi past. News of the World made the obvious and inevitable inference, but had they not, anyone with a knowledge of your past would have done so. And anyone who says "no Nazi link on the tape," is fooling no one but themselves. Max' own past makes the link. No swastika needed.

Why is his private life so important?

 

Because he is the head of a very public organization and subject to public scrutiny. Part of his job is negotiating and dealing with heads of state, government officials and executives of large corporations. He has rendered himself ineffective in this role.

 

How can someone think this, perhaps the moral fiber of people is in fact going to hell. Also, he will not be 'convicted' of anything. It's not a court matter whether he goes or stays, it's a PR one. He has compromised his integrity and must go. His only possible mitigator was that it was not him in the video. Clearly it is, and he admits it, so clearly he must go.

At some point, where you come down on important issues says a lot about who you are as a person. When someone takes a story about Max Mosley seeing hookers in London while they act out nazi fantasies and says that we need to cut him a break and then goes on to attack the man that owns the company that owns the company that owns the company that owns the paper who reported it as a "right wing zionist sympathizer" and "expose" that man as a jew, it tells me *everything* I need to know about the person making the post.

And yes, to answer the OP - he certainly appears to have lost touch with reality, mad as a hatter IMHO. I think history tells us that these "leaders" (?) tend to go nuts at a much higher rate than more "normal" (?) people.....

While I don't always agree with JYS, he hit it on the head - "His position is untenable".
