    Hi,

I was washing my 360 before it was going into the garage for the winter, I was using my "degreasing" I don´t know the word for this in correct english, you put it on your car to get rid of asfalt stains, oxides and other kinds of dirt that is hard to wash off, this is done before you wash the car. And after I finished I saw that my challangegrill had these stains, and now I can´t get rid of them (se picture) What to do???

I think your degreaser partially oxidized the black paint.

I have used Mother's Back to Black black trim conditioners on the black air box, engine side cover, and grill with good results. It gave the black painted finish a nice dark rich tone. It's not a permanent fix, but if you apply with every car wash you probably won't need to repaint the grill.

Here is a link to the product.

Thanks for the info, I´m gonna take the grill off and drop it off at my local Ferrari-paint shop. They will powdercoat it, it´s no big deal, the car is from 2001 so it probably need a paint anyway :) I mean it gets quite warm back there so the grill have probably faded a little bit. Here in Sweden I have to wait 4-5 months now before the winter is over so now I have something to do with my Ferrari :) And yes, untill the 2010 season I´m gonna clean up my engine, I promise!!

Why use a degreaser?? I have only ever needed to use soap and water. I actually use a leaf bower to get all the water droplets out of the holes, works perfect.

Did it actually damage the paint? If not, then get yourself some tire shine and spray on there. Then wipe it and let it dry. That might get rid of the dry looking blotchy paint without having to remove/replace the grill and/or repaint it. On my car, I had a similar problem once after washing it. The paint looked a little dry in a couple of spot and the tire shine thing worked fine.

Try spraying with some of the tyre products, we have one in Aus called sries 500 which is a silicone base with a blackener, it is great for black engine parts as it dries gloss black with no tack so wont collect dust should fix problem won't harm paint.

Today I´m gonna take my grill off, is there anything I should know about when taking it off?? Is it just bolts or is there any clippers of any kind??

use blue painters tape to protect the painted part of your bumper so you don't damage it when removing the challenge grill. there are no clips, just nuts, but mark the 4 tailight lens with tape before removing so you know which light goes where

You probably don't need it anymore.:D
But you'll find an instruction sheet on our website, on how to remove and replace the grille panel. :)
    Ciao
