    Hi All,

I think the cluch in my 308 GT4 is on its way out.

I was doing 100Kph on a flat highway section in 5th when I decided to overtake.
I left the car in fifth and floored the accel. The revs whent from 3K to 6K but the car didn't follow suit.
I tries this again about 3 times and the clutch slipped each time.

I didn't try it again for about 20 minutes and then I couldn't get it to slip again.
    The problemed seemed to disappear.

Anyone out there had a similar issue?

check the clutch free play. If it is insufficient, it will slip. Once it is adjusted, if it still slips, replace

since the oil seal is on the engine side of the flywheel, if it leaked, the oil would coat the back of the flywheel and block, but not the clutch on the other side

    Thanks Gents,

    Will check the freeplay.

It's funny how the clutch was slipping consistantly then stopped. I took it for another run on the weekend and couldn't get it to slip.

This is the first car out of about 30 that has a clutch problem so I've never had much experience when it comes to failed clutches.

    Cheers

    Geo
