Really? I don't know why......there's SO much going on in the race that I'm still usually on the edge of my seat. Luckily the director knows too, so we see very little of Vettel and can concentrate on the action.

I don't get it either. Just because it's for hind tit doesn't mean the fight isn't exciting.

Just because the winner is close to pre-ordained right now makes no difference to my enjoyment of the sport.

We've seen some damn good battles down through the field all year. Folks saying "it's boring" should probably go & watch the WWF or Nascar if that's the kind of "excitement" they're looking for..... ;)

    Cheers,
    Ian

Oh ok you mithering old gits, I find it hard to get excited about chatting as much about it right now then...;)

Vet has it in the bag ok, but yes I fully agree a lot of racing behind him is going on, and it has been good to watch.

I dunno 'bout that either TBH - "We" still seem be able to BS about all manner of stuff in here! Outside of, possibly, Silver, this seems far and away the most active sub-forum here.

    Cheers,

The Abu Dhabi GP was one of the most boring sporting events I've watched in my entire life. Some of the other races, despite Vettel dominating, have been good.

No. Not comparing the two at all. Just noting that their fans will tell you both offer "excitement" in spades. Neither happen to float my boat, but there's no arguing both are popular.

Popular, sure. But WWF is staged, Nascar is not. That's why its not fair to mention both in the same breath.Nascar is actually really great racing. Like F1, some races are better than others, obviously. Great drivers and more engineering than you might think goes into the cars.

Well, when was substance a prerequisite for sports talk?
    ;)

Like many things in life sports talk is a gas expanding to fit whatever space available.

There is a new theory out about RB using a clever form of mass damper on the front of the car. I can't tell if it's plausible. They were outlawed in 2006, though.
