Last season, Speed replayed the F1 races at a very reasonable 11 AM (central) time on Sunday. That worked well, and we were able to have regular get togethers to watch the replays. Our local group would hit the bar and get a dozen or so people to show up for nachos and F1.

This season, the replays are at random times. The Spanish Gran Prix will be replayed at 9 PM (central) on Sunday, which isn't a good time at all for getting folk together.

Why on earth would SpeedTV do that?

    DON'T KNOW.

I tape the races and watch when I want. Can rewind and see the things I want to see again. And I can fast forward thru the numerous commercials. After you have seen the same commercial 10 times, you have seen it. Time to move on. :)

Yeah nascar trumps all on speed. They did add the F1 review show, so I don't think there trying offload the F1 season.

    Yep, nascar.

I don't like it, but for every 1 F1 fan, there are AT LEAST 100 nascar fans, if not more.

I usually just DVR the races, but the replay schedule does look a little rediculous.

I agree, another reason why WWF oh I mean Nascrap, takes precedence over all other forms of racing in the US.

 So you want them to show the race back to back? No progammer in their right mind would do that. Even if they slotted it in at 12pm it's really close to the LIVE air time. Why go through all the trouble of airing it LIVE if most people aren't goint to view it LIVE?

Two Guys Garage is a terrible show. It used to be on TNN (The Nashville/National Network and maybe on Spike for a bit). Incredibly boring as all they do is stuff like oil changes and bolt on accessories. Very rarely do they do something that takes some craftsmanship like Stacy David on the show Trucks (awesome show btw). I think that's one reason why Two Guys Garage was dropped by Spike TV. People don't want to watch stuff you see everyday or what you can do in your own garage in 10 minutes.

What happened to Car and Driver TV, or Motor Trend TV, and the best one of all which is no longer available Top Gear? Those should be on Speed, instead of NASCAR Monday, Weds, Thursday, etc. In addition, Pinks is lame and all the other shows surronding Nascrap Nation.

MTV can be blamed for crap like that. Real World, Road Rules, and all the other BS "reality" garbage they put on the air has brought out the stupid in the average veiwer. Pinks is about racing like WWE is about sportsmanship.

They still have Real World going on? What are they on now, Real World 50? Jeez. I've flipped through that channel a few times and see they have contests among former contestants. Are they like 40 years old or something? Don't they have real jobs?

I honestly have no idea. I haven't watched MTV in at least a couple of years. I used to watch 'Pimp my Ride' to see how well they could polish a turd, but even that has lost it's allure. I'm sure they have some kind of Real World type show to take the originals place. :(

Speed TV is such an abject disappointment that i actually feel rather fortunate that they even show any F1 at all.

Comments about the shows on that channel are spot on. Seems as if every single show deals with an oil change on a muscle car. I'm so sick of tuning in-especially Barrett Jackson which is unwatchable IMO-who care's about Dodge Darts selling for 75k?
Even if F1 is one the world's biggest sports-not in this country. Makes me feel kind of special that I don't care about the majority of their programming.

But those comments aside, it's a real drag to have to set your alarm so that you can watch F1 in the middle of the night, (Malaysia).....

I have a tivo. That doesn't change the fact that the replay time is not favorable for getting folks together at a public place to watch it.

Last year the races ran at 4-5-6-whatever and then reran at 11, that was smart because Sunday afternoon is "racing time"

Its the fact that Nascar is on the huge majority of the time during the rest of the week. Speed trys to get all the "other" stuff out of the way in a single day so that they can do Nascar 24/6 the rest of the week. its so lame it's amazing. I watched the Grand-Am Rolex series GT race on saturday this past weekend. It made me extremely angry when Speed let the nascar junk run over by almost 20 minutes. The truck series race had been finished for forever, and yet they let talking about nascar take precedence over actual racing.

Its called capitalism...not enough of us yanks watch F1 so there is not enough advertising dollars to make it worth SPEED's bottom line. NASCAR rules here in the colonies on TV and in the consumer goods market place...I bet there is more NASCAR licensed products sold per day in the USA that there are F1 licensed products sold all year. Here in Atlanta there was a recent article in the paper that stated that the two NASCAR races held here each year brought more money into the local economy than all the Braves, Falcons and Hawks games as well as all music concerts per year COMBINED...

It has to do with revenue and the squeaky wheel.

There are a lot more bike fans than F1 fans in the USA that told SpeedTV they want to watch that programming mid afternoon on Sundays. We just need to have less complaining on forums and a louder voice directly to the source.

How you can have a channel 100% devoted to motorsports and not support F1 programming is beyond me...

That's easy...F1 has an almost infinitesimal fan base in the USA...more people here watch the cooking channel or Opra than F1 races...

Forcing someone to watch a race on Sunday morning at 2 or 3 AM because they aren't going to replay it for another 6 days also sucks.
