    On a quick errand yesterday, I was parked at the local CVS here on John's Island. When I came out, an older black gentleman – one of John’s Island’s colorful characters – asked “is that the new Mustang?” I said “No, why do you ask…?” his reply was classic…
    ”Well, it’s got a horse on the back”.

    True enough, my 575 proudly displays the prancing horse on the trunk – but that does not make it a Mustang!

    I got it once. I also got "How do you feel about Ferrari stealing the horse symbol from Ford?" :mad:

    "Sir I think you have your chronology wrong by about 50 years." was the best I could come up with.

    I don't have that problem with the 308...everyone knows it's a Ferrari. :D

    That's so funny, somebody asked me the same thing a couple of weeks ago in my Cali.
    I told him it was a Ferrari and he replied he thought 'stang because it has a pony on it.
    I corrected him and told him that what he was looking at is a Stallion, not a pony!

    People in general have no clue. I been asked if my E-type was a kit car. The fact that they even ask means it got thier attention and they liked it. Just be nice to them and they will always remember it.
