    Is the fan supposed to go on on the radiator on the driver side when you turn on the AC I thought it was supposed to but mine has not been just wondering not that I ever use the AC anyway

    No, it comes on when the freon reaches a certain temperature, but this happens fairly quickly after you turn on the AC - this may give you the impression that it's simultaneous. Low freon can be one of the factors for it not to come on...

    You guys are talking about the condenser fan, and understandably so. The OP is asking about the radiator fan, less understandably so. The rad fans are not connected to the A/C on my car and I doubt that they are supposed to be. The condenser fan obviously should be, and the WSM excerpt posted by Wade indicates that its actuation follows widely accepted norms. Since the condenser and rads are a good ways apart there'd be no reason for a radiator fan to come on when the A/C is activated, unlike in a car where the condenser is directly in front of the radiator.

    Ha! Good point. :)

    My car is in for service otherwise I'd go and check the fan's operation.

    So far, no description that I can find which describes the left side radiator fan being energized by the switch on the AC control unit.
