    My understanding is that the front moustache on the US F-40 is made from fibre-glass. Is this correct, please?

    Not Fiberglass AFAIK, some sort of rubbery-plastic (engineering term...), very similar to the front splitter on a 997 GT3 - a "sacrificial" part but I believe rather more expensive than the GT3 splitter :)
