Thks to somebody else who has removed theirs, I think it makes it look much more "classic", now I'm sure then many of you will say that at 200Mph that the front end will lift but if I look at my CS its not much different (and there is no splitter)

wow...that might be the best looking 430 spyder i've ever seen!
    couple questions:
it looks like you may have lowered it, did you?
did you have to do any paint work after removing the splitter?
lastly, where did you get those cool prancing horse emblems behind the seats??!!

...assume that is a CS stripe you've added, correct? Were any mods needed or where you able to just use a standard aftermarket CS stripe kit?

Scuderia stickers by the headrests are overkill IMHO. Other than that awesomeness on wheels!

Yes its been lowered (twice by the dealer), who also separately painted the intake louvres, but you don't need to do any of that to remove the splitter its just a case of removing the 4 bolts and plugging the holes. Stripe is a aftermarket Stadale item and the Scuderia emblem's are official ferrari items available from either the Ferrari store but you can also find them on ebay

Got a Ferrari, added extra shields and changed what they did to the car after 1000's of hours in the wind tunnel at Maranello?

Got a louder exhaust for red light revving too? ;)

Wow....what a difference a little splitter can make! Very Enzo-like too. I really like the painted nostils, really smoothes it all out. Have to agree about the stickers, a bit excessive.

I wonder how long it'll take before we start seeing Scud front ends available for 430's.

I do have to say that I actually like the the appearance of the front splitter. I think the front bumper looks kind of naked without it.

I think that most noticable mod which realy dramatically improve look of 430 is lowering. The car looks like off road with factory set up imo. Than few other slight mods and althought i am fan of 360 shape, car looks maybe even better than 360.....

LOL...yeah, figured that might be the case.

I have to agree....they do look great when lowered, seems like every Ferrari looks better on the low-down....but then there's the practicality of driving around city streets with a lowered car. The 355 was a constant challenge and many driveways were just no do-able. I've heard this analogy before: lowering a Ferrari is a lot like putting a woman in really high heels: looks sexy but oh-so very impractical when it comes to being put in motion.

Gotta hand it to Lambo, the front-ends rise-up when the occassion calls for it, good idea!

Thanks Richard. Is that Rosso Corsa or Rosso Scuderia exterior color?

p.s. I think the combination of the removed splitter, lowering, and painted 'nostrils' have done wonders for your car. I do think it's the best looking 430 Spider i've ever seen! Got any more pics?

I like the "mod-front" but not the CS strip on the 430-spider; lt doesn't match the 430-spider (my personal thinking only); it looks much better with the 16M strips.

The splitter isn't there to be an eyesore. I'm pretty sure your front end will be a little light at speed without it. With nothing up front to keep I planted beyond aerodynamics, I hope you aren't putting others lives in jeopardy. When I took delivery of my GT3 a few years ago they had damaged the 1 inch rubber strip along the nose so I drove the car without it. Completely screwed up the way it behaved at speeds over 80mph. When it was replaced, it was a night and day difference. The 430s have a tremendous amount of mechanical grip by design. You can feel the scud tighten down the faster you go due to the aerodynamics. From hours in the wind tunnel. You may want to rethink your splitter modification. I'm not going to outsmart the technology developed by those masters.

Oh come on, you know all that aerodynamic mumbo-jumbo doesn't matter on the other side of the chain link fence by the high school. ;)

Right. I keep getting older, but the girls always stay the same age. Which is precisely why i bought the car in the first place. Aero-dy-what?

In all seriousness I'm happily married and plan to keep it that way.

Sounds like you came to the wrong forum, if you want the things you want, lambo is your answer. Ferrari is all about racing, sensations, heritage and true driving experience.

You've taken it out of context, dude. That was a tongue-in-cheek response to an earlier post.
