    I would guess an F50GT.

It was developed for racing, but was never raced. Only 3 were built.

I have an old Forza somewhere that speculated why the project was killed off. The F50GT was developed and tested at a time before the period of Schumacher/Ferrari F1 dominance. Supposedly the GT was very fast from the start, so much so that the theory was internal politics may have killed it.

Having a competitive GT car for peanuts (relatively speaking), versus a struggling F1 car for hundreds of millions of $$$ would have been awkward.

While I don't really believe that scenario, I would guess corporate politics are most certainly played at Ferrari, so who knows.

I think the project was killed because they couldn't compete with the McLaren
    F1LM.

If you can't come out and win.....stay home :)

    Hello,

It would be without the air restrictors as the chassis is high developped.

The 288 GT0 Evoluzione had more than 700 HP, GTEs have less.

A few years ago Symbolic Motors had a F50GT in thier showroom. The car was about a half inch off the ground. I dont think it would make it across an intersection without getting high centered. Awsome to look at though.

I am speaking loosely, in other words I'm saying it's the fastest Ferrari you will get away with driving on the street which was originally in the question asked.

I would think an unresticted turbo engine will make much more HP than a naturally aspirated one. As far as the chassis, I'm sure the F50 and Enzo have it over an F40.

I heard that they built the F50 GT based on the F50 because the race car was supposed to be based on a commercial car. Some of the other companies cheated and didn't base their cars on commercial cars so Ferrari decided better to be a winner than to follow the rules and be a loser.

It might have a lot of power, but that says nothing about on-track performance.
The F40 variants may possibly be fastest on a track. Lightweight, and plenty of power.
