I've got one I bought from Brent Black (Panama Hat Company of the Pacific) in Hawaii about 10 years ago.

    Love it.

Once you have a quality Fedora, you'll wear it all the time.

Fedoras are a great style hat. I have been wearing a low rise (or whatever you call it when a hat is not tall at the top, lol!), non-Indy Jones style Fedora for 10 years. It has become my "trademark" look.

I am an agricultural consultant, so being out in the fields a lot means I have to wear a hat of some kind. Ball caps, cowboy hats and others just don't fit my style.

I finally wore out my original one. I had picked it up on a whim at Cabela's years ago. It looked bad with sweat stains and such. It took me about 2 years to find another that was not Indy Jones tall or Aussie style with a wide brim. (You can't really wear a wide brim hat in your vehicle, it hits the headrest.)

I finally found a Stetson "Crushable" Cromwell Fedora at a rim of the Grand Canyon gift shop of all places. They didn't have my size so I got one off Ebay when I returned home, about $70 IIRC. It is lightweight and comfortable, and crushable if I have to pack it for a trip.

If I want to go around town "incognito" I simply leave my hat at home and no one usually recognizes me, it has become that much a part of my "look."

When it gets worn out, I will buy another, or maybe go ahead and buy a couple before they are discontinued.
