@JoeZaff : How is the heat when stowing bags/stuff in the hatch area behind the seats? Any idea how it compares to the heat in the C8 Corvette trunk?
    Thanks! :)

It's been a non-issue. The engine is very well insulated. If it wasn't, the cabin would cook too, since you sit inches away from the engine! However, I can surmise that if my windows where not ceramic tinted, there is a possibility that anything left in the rear hatch area would bake under a hot summer sun, unless you used the provided privacy screen.

I had one as a loaner and really liked it. Great car, and genuinely good looking in person. I can't figure out why it isn't more photogenic.

I did have a few critiques:
    1. To my eyes, the front splitter sits too high for a mid-engine car (even if it is a GT) - it looks like the lift is stuck in the "up" position
    2. I'd have prefered the McLaren "swoosh" headlights, like on the 570 - I think that would have added some visual interest to a rather plain front end
    3. I just don't love the "big turbo" character of the McLaren engines (lag and sound)
But all in all, fantastic car, especially at that price point. It should be on anyone's list.

All fair critiques! Though I must admit that I absolutely adore the engine and its unique character... but I get how others could feel otherwise.

FWIW, the front splitter was designed that way specifically to increase ground clearance. You really never need to use the front axle lift. However, if you look closely, it actually drops much lower as it approaches the front wheels .
