Is the McLaren MP4-12C a modern classic? I asked Frank Stephenson

Hi everyone, a new member here! I've been a McLaren fan for a long time. I run a YouTube channel called Classic Car TV and I recently featured the MP4-12C in my new Modern Classics series. Is the MP4-12C - the first series production car for McLaren - a classic? I wanted to get some expert opinion so I interviewed it's designer Frank Stephenson plus two other McLaren gurus - Dean Lanzante, who's company ran the 1995 le Mans winning Ueno Clinic McLaren F1, and Alastair Bols, who launched the MP4-12C for McLaren at the company's first retail showroom in London. A lovely car! The volcano colours are spectacular, and I was fascinated by Frank Stephenson's explanation of how the volcano paint was developed in the full version of the interview with him. Did you watch that? Link here:

 

I did correct myself with an on-screen caption! The owner of the car told me it was Volcano Red, which seemed odd to me as the car is clearly orange. Anyway, all the Volcano colours are really vivid!
