    I ordered my first tesla last night, a model Y performance to be my daily. I see the tesla charger is $400 but does that work on the 296 as well? When I ordered the tesla i did it online so i didn't get to speak to anyone and i wasn't really sure if the ferrari needed a different charger than the tesla. Is there any universal charger I could buy on Amazon that would do the job? Sorry for the questions this isn't really up my alley. Thanks again

    Your 296 is probably a couple of years away and may well use the same plug as the Tesla so why not buy a Tesla compatible charger and then wait for your 296 & try it - even if the Tesla charger won't fit the 296 the latter will probably come with a basic mains charger which is enough for a hybrid as opposed to full electric

    it shouldn't be couple years away, i just spoke to them last week, they told me Q1 2023. Thats not even a year away.

    Hey thanks thats the response i was looking for. So I just buy that and it will work on both? Or are you saying get the Tesla one for now? Sorry for the confusion

    You'd purchase the Tesla Wall Connector, have that installed and use it to charge your Model Y while you wait for the 296. When the 296 comes, buy the adapter I linked to (or whatever the newest version of it is at that time) and it'll just attach to the end of your existing Tesla cable so that you can use it to charge the 296 as well.

    Unless you are very high up on the list you won’t be Q1. They aren’t even released yet and won’t start showing up until Q4 of this year. Ask your dealer where you are in the list, how may allocations they expect to get per month, once released and you will have a better idea. Again if you are in the top 5 of your dealers list than Q1 could be realistic.
