I'm going to order some LED lights to do the engine bay light mod on my 360 spider but it seems everyone hooks them up to the taillights. I would rather be able to turn the engine bay lights on and off without turning any other lights on. To do that I need a hotwire somewhere in the engine bay.

If there is no wire, is there access thru the firewall in a spider?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Do an access through the left lower firewall, follow the engine harness from the panel behind the drivers seat. You have direct access to the fuse box and can wire something wiht one of the accessory spots in the fusebox. Most are engaged with the key.

If you have a euro, just wire it in with the rear foglights and activate with the switch on the dash.. re: On the connector to the reverse lights are there two wires or three that go into the connector that plugs into the light? Is there a connector behind the empty switch plug on the dashboard?

    Excellent. I'll check that out.

And you are correct, I have an open slot for the switch as my car is a non euro.

I'm just wondering if the wiring is there behind the panel on the dashboard. If it is.. you can just plug in a switch and then splice the wiring on the rear taillight. And VOILA! Good to go with a switch.. though might need a fuse..

The rear foglight can only be switched on with the key on and the headlights on. Not a good option.

Per his specs above you're right.
