I have done this airbox removal thing from time to time but have not found an easy way to reinstall the airbox with the clips and the two half moons. Did someone else smarter than me figure it out? So do you put the halfmoons on first, then the clips, then airbox goes on top and then tighten down the clips? or ? I put rubber rings on, then the air box, then the half moons, then the clamp.

I release the threaded bolt from the clamp so I can feed it around the intake stack and then tighten it up.

Just be careful not to lose a screw as they are stainless and hard to fetch. Not too much hassle but yes a bit of a fiddle.

That is how I do it now but with the engine in the car, it is a tough contortionist act. Plus, I replaced those effing stainless steel bolts with regular steels so I can fish it out with a magnet if I lose one. I hate stainless steel....

Rusted bolts but I can find them. You drop anything into that V and you can drive yourself mad looking for it.

I had mine off and remember struggling with it as you mentioned (at least the first one...until I changed strategy). I am pretty sure that I assembled the tubes, half-moons, and clamps on to the plenums (as loose as possible without falling off) then basically slid the assembly onto the throttle bodies, then tightened the clamps (probably just left the bottom/TB side loose). If I remember there is a little lip on the rubber tube that keep everything in place even if it loose (loose enough to slide onto the throttle bodies)

Piece of cake, done it many times
Mount the clamps loosely boots on the plenums

Lube it and slide it on the TBs, tighten the clamps

Just make sure you have the clamps facing the correct location to tighten. I face them inwards

Always visually inspect they are all the way down and I smoke test them

The personal EGR? Tube from mouth to rear so you can blow smoke up your own...

Why would anyone want that? I know perfectly well that some people have one already...but still...

    sjd
    P.S. its a 2 way tube...
