I mean other than a sticker that denots the colors Does ferrari even know what our cars left the factory with? exterior paint and interior one big thing is Id like to know the official names of m cars colors and I am missing the color sticker on my rear bonnet thanks jp
Yes, you can request a "Heritage Certificate" from Ferrari. You can do this thru www.ferrariowners.com It will tell you what color your car left the factory... JIM
See Im all set up on the website but other than my garage and a few other thingsI findit a bit difficult to navigate that site where do I go to get that info.
If you require additional information contact Ferrari's US representative at the Classiche Department, in NJ. The Heritage Certificate will give you the basic exterior/interior colors. But I have a unusual interior color combination: the dashboard (door pulls, map pockets) are pelle rosso 3171 (red) and my interior is crema 3997. They were able to confirm for me that the car was built with a dashboard in pelle rosso, via email. I asked for written documentation, which they gladly provided for a fee. The documentation lists the car model and vin #, and under original specifications it lists the exterior color, interior color, dashboard color, carpet color, name of dealer it was delievered to and the month and year it was delivered to the dealer. Best regards, Dino
I went to the garage and then to contact and sent a e-mail and requested the info that I wanted, is that how I was to do that
could you walk some of us through as to how you got the link to obtain the certificate? I've tried a few times at that site and always come up empty. It does not seem very intuitive Thanks.
1) Log into the ferrari owners site 2) on the top LH side of the opening page you'll see a link for cars, Move your mouse over it scroll down to classiche click on it. 3) Now your on the Classiche page, Look at list of options on RH side, Click on Historic archive 4) You are now at the Historic archives page Look at RH of screen and click on car colours, This is where you must type in your info and submit it to Ferrari. Enter your Model number, car number and engine number, The Engine number is located on the top of the engine block, RH side of the engine at the base of the rear cylinder head might have to clean it off a bit but it is there. The car number is the last few digits of your vin not the complete vin. and I entered all of the numbers from the engine. Enjoy! Oh and you will recive a email from ferrari saying that the ert is ready, Go back to the classiche page click on the historic archives again then click on downloaded documents and there will be your color cert!
Now, the next step is where does one get a new (replacement) decal sticker with the correct paint number to place under the rear hood?
So far this is the only place I've found: http://www.italiancarparts.com/labels_plates/ferrari_labels_plates.htm. But, they only have the basic stuff. I've been trying to find someone who has (or can make) a 101/C for me. Anyone know who actually makes and prints these stickers?!
Thanks for the link. Does anyone know the meaning of the number after the red 300/(#?) Some are a "6" some are a "9" but so far mine (in records) appears to have no number after the 300. My car is missing the original decal. I want to order the correct one if possible. I'll see what the Heritage Certificate comes up with.
Here is the response I got today about getting a Heritage Certificate. OK, that's new. I got my Color Certificate last month and my car is an 84. The old Heritage Certificates were like that but I assumed they changed the policy with the new website. Bummer they are back to their old tricks.
Wow, odd that they changed their policy again. Try contacting the Classiche rep in the US at (Lucy Petrone) her email is [email protected] . She might be able to help or at least look up the information you are seeking. Best regards, Dino
thats some BS I just did mine the day before you asked and Its a 1982 308, the gent who posted his shows it to be a 328 dont remember to many of them comming with carbs!
I got the same email a few months ago when I asked for info about my 1982 Mondial. Seems they change the rules like the wind blows. Sounds very italian Gonne try it again next week.
