One of my past mechanics worked on a Countach Kit car that had over $65,000 invested in it - when real Lambo Countaches were fetching $65,000 in the used car market. I see similar economies at work here. While I agree that the man is a very talented and skilled model-builder, I'm not clear what his goal was here. He seemed to indicate that he was of limited financial means, and wanted a Ferrari - so he spent 20,000 hours to build a car he can't drive. Had he spent his spare time working a part-time job instead, he could have saved some money to purchase a car that he actually COULD drive, and experience the true magic of Ferrari by blasting down the highway with the top down.....and the song of a very-real, Maranello-built V-12 in his ears. Its a great model, but......the time, money, and effort expended on this could have afforded him something much more REAL. Nice TRs aren't THAT expensive.....when the cost of the 'model' starts to assume the cost point of the real thing, you have to wonder about the sanity of the model builder.
