I guess this would be an easy answer since the video says Bradan and this forum is sponsored by Bradan So my question is, is this an f1 355? I'm asking because the gear changes are incredibly fast, much faster than on my f1. But he video is so low quality I can't see the model name in the back. F1, there's a faint red badge on the rear vent, and you can almost be certain the "F" in "F355" is missing.
Put your car in sport mode and shift it at 8500 rpm and tell us what happens. If all is working well you will think your car is going to snap in half.
It's 112735, a 1998 355 F1 Spider. Steve (Labman) posted here, 02 June 2012, that he owns, or rather owned, this car; it has since been replaced with an F430 F1 Spider. As an aside, I don't think the untrained ear is capable of discerning a transmission type merely by listening to the speed with which it's shifted. I've seen and heard some rather impressively quick straight-shifting - and I don't mean via the dreaded power shift method either.
It is freakin' awesome too. Just do not do it on cold tires or damp pavement. ...and yet, after 14 years, the car remains in one piece.
Being in the transmission business for over 22yrs i'm still amazed how strong the 355 gear box is..Not to many transmissions would hold up to such violent shifts.
