Is this a cool or stupid way to drive a Ferrari?

Cool on a closed course, Stupid on public roads. I enjoyed the video overall/

 

If I had one, I don't think I would want that dude beating it. Scary stuff to do on public roads, even if you know them well. Real easy to have a James Dean moment.

Stupid in general. It doesn't look like he was learning how to master oversteer. Imagine the amount of times he's done that in order to produce the video. There's one like him in every "group."

 

Anybody know the VIN of that 360? I just want to make a note of it...

 

i didn't think his skills were good. looked like he lost it in one turn and decided to take it all the way around. breaking the back end loose in a slow speed turn isn't very impressive, specially if you are trying to get around the turn fast. all in all, looked amatuerish. not sure how he killed the car. certainly wasn't his driving, maybe he broke it?

 

Driving like that and not wearing a seatbelt?

 

This chap's sunglasses alone were enough to cement my interest in this video.

Totally agree! Anyone can slide the end out on a 360, and he didn't even do it smoothly. Loved it when he lost it and then turned it into a 360!

think his attitude was bit cocky driving wise, driving skills seemed ok although that is not the way to drift properly, he was just stopping then flooring it, however it is alot safer way of doing it and i would have done the same in that car, lol he just seemed a bit sketchy, seen alot worse though and it made a damn cool video especialy the bit at the end.

 

We never refer to them as "crazy". We prefer the term "mentally hilarious".

 

If he was showing off on a private road that's very cool, If it's on a public road that's very stupid, and if he is racing that way, he would loose for sure.

 

He's very irritating with that driving style, especially when he's trying to do that "360 burnout". Playing too hazardous, i wouldn't do that on public roads ... (or any roads, with MY Ferrari)

 

I agree with the other poster, it really doesn't look like he's all that good of a driver, he looses it too much, he's driving in the middle of the road (can't keep the lane on a public road) and he looks like he's "fighting" the power.

I also wish we would know the VIN number of the car....

Mental note to myself, don't by a yellow 360 from the hills of California....

Terrible driver just having some innocent fun with a Ferrari. His line through the turn and gas/brake modulation need, um, improvement. I guess that he doesn't care that he is going to have higher maintenance costs(how much for an air dam?) and down-time. Or maybe it's a rental. I can only hope that he doesn't hurt somebody else when he crashes again. Spinning your car in the middle of a mountain road like that could kill a motorcyclist instantly.

 

The only thing more embarrassing than his driving is the passenger's camera-holding skills.

 

What a tool.

Nice glasses, and he looks scared to death.

And all on public roads.
