It's a Series Speciale 348. Made 100 in '93. No rear valance on tail lights, carbon fiber seat option and rear wheel with slight greater offset. Engine CPU's upgraded to Metronic 2.7 with 312 hp. Also 1st year with lower panels and rear deck body colored, and different front spoiler.

I talked to them about that car when I was 348 shopping. I have to agree with BT, the asking price of the car is too high. They didn;t seem too eager to negotiate either. No surprise to me that it is still for sale.
Also, the antenna location is a little bit curious to me. I thought that only the earlist models of the 348 had the antennas located in that position. I could be wrong though.

With respect to the owners !

I think this speciale rear makes the car so much older and non-Ferrari.
Never liked it, would love to have the seats though...

I agree with the rear tail lights. I think Ferrari realized as they went back to slats in '94 and on spyders. Would love to have the seats as well. I hear they are not as comfy though.

I thought '93 or '94 they started putting the antenna in the front windshield. Mine's a '94 and the antenna is in the windshield. I don't recall seeing a SS model with an antenna on top. Maybe the windshield was replaced?

At that price you can easily get into a 355.

Hey guys, The seats are great to look at but, they are like sittin' on plywood after about an hour I added some foam under mine my butt couldn't take. The radio ant. on my SS was in the rear fender it didn't have the windsheild style. That car's could have been installed by a dealer at owner request. IIRC ferrari at that time period wired cars for radios but did not factory install components, dealer/owners did. Regards, Vern

Mine's a 92 ts and has the antenna in the windshield - I believe only early 89's had it in the roof. This car probably had it installed aftermarket. And I agree the price is somewhat out there - even if it had a major recently and all misc. items sorted out (which is not indicated in the ad), that is still waaaaaaaaaaaay up there for a 348 ss.

Also (just curious), how many states are left that allow you to remove/bypass the cats (ad indicates Tubi cat bypass)? I think in California we get the death penalty now for gutting or removing the cats.

It is a federal law, illegal in all states. Left up to the states to check some do and some don't. Regards, Vern

Saw an early 90 ts at cruise night with antenna mounted in rear quarter window on passenger side.

$50,000 fine in Illinois for removing cats.
