I just went out to my CS after not driving it (or doing anything with it) for a couple of months. I couldn't get it to unlock on the fob, I had to put the key in the door to unlock it, then the fob worked fine.

My Porsches do this if I leave them for a week or so without unlocking them, but I've never noticed this before with the Ferrari. Maybe I've just never left it so long without unlocking it before.

Is this normal on a 360?!

Check the battery in your remote.

The battery connections in the remote are very poor and can get a little weak pushing against the battery.
I regularly clean them up with a bit of emery paper/solvent and just give them a slight tweek inwards so they push against battery terminals better.
Just don't push to hard as they are fragile and will break off!!!

It’s probably time to change the battery anyway but it worked perfectly after I’d unlocked the door with the key.

Functionality can be erratic with a poor battery and, as mentioned by Ashley, the contacts become weak. Probably coincidence that the key use and fob operation were related in this case-- since you say you don't use the car for months.

Perhaps. Just seems odd that there was absolutely nothing until I’d manually unlocked the door. Then it all worked perfectly. Exactly like the Porsches do.

Anyway if nobody else has had the same then I’ll chalk it up to an Italian quirk.

It’s not the car.. it’s the owner. ;)

neither my 997 or 991 do this nor does my 360. change your batteries in the fob and the main if not changed in the last 3 years.

Porsche does have a deeper sleep setting. You will need to wake the car with key into the lock and then hit the unlock via remote. Hey better than a dead battery.

Maybe others don't have their micro switches happy so always awake.

Your 997 will do it if you leave it a few weeks (or like 10 days?!).

    Nope.

Left it 2 weeks and still started. Close to 3 weeks one time on vacation and still started and unlocked with fob.

360 was left up to 3 weeks and still started. 2 weeks no problem starts right up.

Get rid of any extra electronics like amps, audio bass systems, etc. and replace the battery every 3 to 4 years. The alternator will like it too.

You leave it unlocked or locked? It should go to deep sleep unless it thinks your trunk is open etc.

Yeah it’s not about the battery running down or going flat - the car shuts stuff down after a week or so. I’m talking Porsche again here, not the 360.

All my sports cars live on Cteks, and the Porsches still need the key after a week or so; it’s not about voltage drops.

I think my 996 GT3 doesn't go into sleep mode unless I lock it. It usually sits on the factory CTEK unlocked with the driver's window down for months at a time (I know a crime, but the car stopped being a daily driver for me back in 2007/2008 time frame when I realized how many miles I was racking up and how the cup seats may not be the best thing for my back driving the car every day).

Ah, well, yes you have to have locked it for it to sleep.
