looking to buy a 99-2000 360 is this a good buy ? http://www.texastoys.com/Cars_Online/99_Yellow_Ferrari.asp thanks
Condition looks good in the photos but you need to see the service history - and there's no price mentioned so a fantastic bargin at $0
The ad copy reads 13,000 miles however, the pic. of the odometer shows, 18,000. Also, the shields on the front corners appear not to be factory but adheive backed. Aftermarket audio/amp install looks unprofessional. This 360 has been for sale for at least 6 months that I know of. Without physically seeing this car its difficult to put hard no.'s on it. If the car has had no damage or serious paintwork, (only minor touch up) and all mechanical services are confirmed I would value it at approx. $125-130,000. Also, I would not purchase this or any Ferrari without performing a complete inspection, PPI by a reputable Ferrari mechanic.
thanks , ive seen this car for sale on ebay a couple of times and wondered why it didnt sell , i called over to the place on sat. to check it out and they said it was with the owner .and i should call back on tuesday . im thinking its his own personal car .. but the one thing i cant understand is why does he keep putting miles on it if hes trying to sell it
Look at the license plate opening on the back bumper. I would guess it should be in the 105-110k range

My understanding was that it was a grey market car... not sure. But it has been on the market for a while.
im going to stay away from this one .. i went to a high end car dealer here in houston and they are getting me a red/tan 360 should be in next week.. if i decide to get it i'll post pics right away .. thanks for all the help ,, you guys are awsome
Lots of stories on this one: some claim that the sellers (not the car) are unscrupulous, and therefore the car should be avoided. Others have countered that the sellers are reputable and the car is fairly priced. Not sure what is true. I do concur with others that the car has been advertised for a while. The pictures make the car look quite nice though. I wouldn't get scared off by rumors. If you like the car, I'd go a step further and take it in for a PPI -- that should provide you with a good handle on any "issues." A $122K ask is fair, but the mileage would be considered high if the odometer does indeed read 18K. Nonetheless, you've got the Red/Tan 360 coming in, so let us know how that goes.
Ive vacumed that car numerous times. I do a lot of vacuming for TexasToys. Ive pulled it around the parking lot a few times, it sounds and runs great. Its a really nice, clean car. The last time I drove it, it had around 18,500 miles. You should check it out in person, its nice and its always vacumed.
Negative. For a $125K car, a Euro version will get you about a $10K discount, not a $25K discount, as 20% would suggest.
Well you are certainly entitled to your opinion. Before I purchased my US 360 I contacted several authorized dealers and brokers regarding a Euro version. The result. 1. Not worth the potential problems, 2. The Euro version typically is worth 15-20% less IF you can actually find a buyer. Further, in order for most potential buyers to warrant the purchase of a Euro version I believe this to be true, IMHO.
