i purchased this recently with other parts can someone confirm is a testarossa tool kit? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's part of it. Should also be a Jack kit which depending on the year (<88.5), should include a lead hammer and knock off tool.
It's missing the spark plug ratchet, extender, universal joint and spark plug socket. Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice!
No, those items are included in the jack kit. As Brian states, this is a complete tool kit. BTW the SPC doesn't list or depict two spare spark plugs, I have seen those in the "extra" tool kit pocket (as shown here) or in the jack bag, so I'm not positive on them. My jack bag had two Champion A6G spark plugs still in the wrapper (made in Belgium). I've also seen the ratchet/extension/universal/socket in the same pocket in the toolkit but it should be in the jack kit as depicted in the SPC (table 58). Romano: spare (tire) kit=jack kit (at least I think that's what he meant)
You know we're that exact about our Testarossas when we are debating which tool bag a certain tool goes in. lol Mine came in the took kit bag....damn those imprecise Ferrari workers! Shamile Freeze. ..Miami Vice! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
The jack bag contents varied slightly by year but this is the correct contents for a 1988.5 Testarossa Image Unavailable, Please Login
The ratchet etc on the right, for which purpose it that? I've never seen that as part of the jack kit.
For those interested, I have the following Testarossa bits for sale: - toolkit - jack kit 5-bolt model - jack kit Monodado - spare wheel (weight saver) Monodado - spare wheel (weight saver) 5-bolt model See my sales thread for pics and prices.
Not correct. For a Testarossa the ratchet, extension, universal and socket are all part of the jack bag (see diagram and listing here: https://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v12/testarossa-group/testarossa-1990/tool-kit.html) It is included in the toolkit for other models (didn't check all of that era but for 3X8 it is).
I wouldn't go by that diagram? If you see there is empty pockets in the too roll, and it shows both a wrench for lug nuts, and hammer for knock offs. So it maybe is just a parts diagram?
Hi, I came across this old thread while doing some research on my old Ferrari toolkits that I have in storage. They are all original, perfect condition and have been carefully stored for years. I knew there was an early Testarossa kit amongst them, along with some others of the same era, I think 308/328/QV kits etc. I was just trying to establish which one was from the very early Testarossa, hopefully this thread has solved the puzzle for me. The one i have is identical to the first picture in this thread: Same tools, tool roll with paper sticker (although my sticker say F.110 rather than "Testa Rossa " - I believe the factory code for the car was type F.110), same screwdrivers with no markings on the handles (signifying an early car), same tow hook and pliers. I am going to start selling off all my stuff soon, but thought if anyone was looking for a perfect early Testarossa tool roll, please send me a message before I get round to listing them. all the best Mark
