    I am doing the same stuff tommorrow. I plan to bead blast it, then coat with high temp clear paint. I have done the same thing with a lot of the underhood hose clamps, and they turned out great. I LOVE my sandblasting cabinet, and bead blasting. 30 seconds of work and the part looks like new.

    I have also found that if you very gentle bead blast corroded CAD plated parts (20psi or so), they come out great and the cad plate is mostly intact...

    Make sure you clearcoat that part, or I suspect it will oxidize the first time you wash your car!

    It does get difficult to clear coat small parts without runs. I may take some clear coat and reduce it 30% or so and just dip the parts in it, and see how that goes...
