Nope. The original was much smaller, single plane with a rubber edge.

+1 on it's not the original wing. Also it is a "964" model turbo. They sure are great cars! Big single turbo, whale tail and only 2wd! Yeeeee-Ha!

Okey, thanks for replying. Spoiler looks hot on it though.

    So what make a 911 a "965"? I thought 965 was used to describe the 965 Turbos.

Yes indeed the internal designation for the C2T / 964 Turbo / was 965.

I think this is the RSR wing.

    Nice...

Just because we're on this topic, does anyone know if this is the standard 965 or the rarer/more expensive 3.6 in this video?

(This clip is the reason I've been dreaming about this Porsche for so many years now)

I think that wing went on the road going and very limited 3.8 RS - not the 3.6. I guess it's likely to be an RSR wing

Hard to tell from the video. IIRC, the 3.6 came with Speedline wheels which the one in the movie has. Those in the movie could have been added to a "regular" 964 Turbo. Otherwise, I think the only other exterior differentiation was the badge under the rear wing designating it as a 3.6.

Also, IIRC "965" was never an official designation, it was officially 964 Turbo.

The "Bad Boys" movie had a real black on black 3.6 Turbo..........and amenasce as well as nickd win the prize for correctly identifying the wing. It was first seen on the 964 3.8 RS/RSR..........

where did this picture come from? i am actually wondering if this is the car that was just bought by a friend of mine in the last 4 months. the color has me thinking it may in fact be. if it is the same car, it is a 3.3 w/ a good many special wishes options in which case both the wheels and wing would have been factory installed.

i will try to verify. i may be wrong...but i will try to verify as i mentioned.

    have a great weekend all...
