http://www.craigslist.org/eby/car/60234147.html $20,000 for this car? I would say low-mid teens at best, sight unseen. With a PPI, maybe a tick more, but I'd almost be afraid to hear what it needs...nevermind the paintscheme. "Rare"...riiiiiight.
Looks like a "I" edition, maybe an 80 to 82. Even Boxer trim cars with much needed work can bring about 20K but it's a buyers market. It all depends how bad someone wants the car. at least it has miles on it, I've seen too many with tampered OD's claiming to be under 5k. If the guy needs some fast cash make him an offer . Ask BIGTEX, he owns two of them. ('77 carb) btw, here's some info from Manheim Gold book, needs to be updated though. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'd be willing to offer about 15 cash, but I really don't care for the car at all... It'd just be "because I felt like it" kind of thing, which is *not* how I want to buy my 1st Ferrari. If I ever end up with a 308, it will either be a '79 or an '85....
My answer to your question is "most likely". There were 2 more than "well used" 308s at my local F-dealer recently. The service guys told the owners they'd be better parting them out than fixing them. First time I had heard it from that source. Once they've been allowed to go, the cost to fix is too high for most and certainly makes no economic sense. The adage of buying the best you can afford is becoming more and more true. Philip
