You'd end up with 50% fewer parking spaces I suppose. Whatever. Park YOUR Ferrari any way you choose.
Depends. The spots are numbered so the owner might own both spots and parks like that so someone else can't use his other one and to stay away from the sides. I've seen a Murcielago parked diagonally in two spots at a grocery store once. I think it's asking for someone to key the car...I would never park like that and would rather go to the very end to park. Btw, if everyone parked like that, it wouldn't reduce the # of parking spots by much. Everyone would end up parking on the middle line divider and the entire lot would be "shifted" over half a spot. You'd lose one spot per row since each end would be 1/2 a spot.
my car isn't any better than someone elses to deserve an extra spot. if private parking and you own both spots then its a different story.
I usually take up four spaces with my truck, two for the front, two for the back. I park out of the way, so no big deal. I will continue to do this until people can keep their doors to themselves.
I do that too with my E350 Super Duty Cube van... but again, it's out of the way when I do. And as much to help THEM as me - it's a BIG truck. But I do think we've ALL been guilty of putting our exotic ever-so-slightly "out of the space" to try to keep someone from parking too close and denting the door. Whenever I'm out in the 328 and must park, though, I just park as far away as possible, in a remote spot and walk. But that's not always possible. Some people just don't care, and will fling a car door open without any regard to whatever might be parked nearby. Just sayin'.... Jedi
perhaps u do not understand the parking rules in singapore ... this is a public parking lot in a shopping center ... and it always get crowded and difficult to find a parking lot during peak period ... if this car is parked like this in land-scare HK ... i believe the driver will not recognize his/her car when he/she come back for it ... totally agreed ... i own a BMW X3 and i dun park my car in public places like i own the place ...
Vandalising a Ferrari? 1 week in an enclosed room with a bunch of guys who have not seen women for a loooong time !
Unfortunately the OP is correct, it is a public car park so these incidents do give exotic car owners an arrogant image. IMO, just asking to get keyed rather than avoiding it, if one choses to park like that.
Hmmm....not the best way to keep the 458 free of dings, in fact, it's inviting for more. Even if both lots belong to the owner, it just spells arrogance and asks for trouble. Not that I'm against protecting our F-cars, in fact I myself am obsessed over finding the best lot to park my 430 and if there aren't any we ain't stopping. Thats my motto. Just that some actions we take end up with worse results.
