Is this interior color original?

This car is in Queensland,Australia by the registration plates.

I highly doubt the interior is original!

I have yet to see a GTB Carby car anywhere with red trim on the interior at the bottom of the doors????


Most certain it has new carpet at the least. Lots of UK spec 308/328's had red carpet although the speedo in this car is in Km/h rather than MPH so it would appear to be an Aussie spec car.

I am thinking not original but I am no expert. The center console uses two colors as to the doors which both seem out of place. The carpet looks new as well.

One question, the cavallino on the front grille. Is that original? Never noted it on a 308.

 

I would guess "highly refurbished to the owner's taste"...

All early 308s used black consoles, all interior colors I have ever seen used black (vinyl) stripes in the seats.

You can anything you wish at the local Trim Shop, of course.

 

Euro 308QVs got a horse in the grill.

The Bi color front lenses indicate it "might' be a Euro version, easily changed tho...

 

BigTex, thanks. It does look like a Euro car but as you noted easily changed. So the horse was added to this '77, not original. It looks funny to me as my car ('79) does not have one.
