I got a ticket for parking in Fire Lane at the high school parking lot this weekend. There was Education Certification Test on that day, and the lot was very crowded. (I was playing tennis)

I parked my car right next to my friend, but he didn't get the ticket. His car was not in parking lane either. There was Fire Lane Red Line, and 4 wheels were inside of this line, but right rear corner was sticking out from this line.

I never got parking ticket before, but speeding only. Is Paking ticket different from speeding in terms for an insurance, & my record? Should I let an attorney take care of it, pay the fine, or can I get the deferred adjudication thing?

It's not a moving violation. It is a pay or fight scenario. Fines shouldn't be but ~45, unless it is a school zone, which doubles or triples the fine.

Just pay it, it won't hurt your insurance.

That's correct, it won't affect your insurance at all.

    Thanks for information & advise.
I'll just pay the fine, as it won't affect my record.
