I think it's gonna get worse with more engine freezes for the next 4 years (after 2021) to cut costs.

There's probably been worse for Ferrari in the 80's & 90's but not with engine freezes.

And NOW, Binotto is willing to put pen and paper to the new Concorde Agreement.

There are simple fixes for all of this, regulate power output within a narrow tolerance band for all manufacturers -job done

They (THEY) though they had done just that by limiting fuel flow rates and to a certain extent fuel chemistry--the maximum flow rate should have given fixed power--but the F1 engine guys figured out how to get more power out from equal fuel in by changing the overall thermodynamic efficiencies.

Reminds me of the "The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers"....

F1 was never about equality. It was about competition. Forgetting this is what has killed it.

All teams had equal opportunity, and the best were able to shine.

Now, they're trying to legislate equal outcomes and it is a disaster. It is a microcosm of the world.

It was a good thing that the teams found ways to be competitive. It not only gave them performance, but pushed the frontier of automotive technology.

What's not good for the sport are the freezes on engine development. F1 is the pinnacle of motorsports and expense is inherent in its nature.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I love this season: We have races in new places (Mugello, Imola) and the midfield is differently set than in previous years.

I also love the back to back races. Basically every weekend there is some F1 action.

Of course from a Ferrari perspective it stinks, but that's neither the season's fault nor anything new. If that was the measurement, there would have been decades of bad F1.

Well, let´s wait and see. It´s obvious that it´s not going to be the best ever but we´ve had so many crappy seasons that it´s difficult to become the crappiest.

Another Mercedes season, this time with the joy of some of the dumbest rules ever created by FIA/MB to ensure MB will keep on winning for the next couple of years....What a complete farce.

It’s up there... but I had others not so Interesting too like 92 with the Williams dominance,96 with the Williams (again)... the late 80’s where it was either senna or Prost (it was thrilling but only 2 main players really)...

For Ferrari this could easily end up the COAT

However with the Pink Merc things are shaking up a bit,so we might get some interesting races.

For some, any season when Ferrari doesn't win is a crap season.

They will always be hard to please.

F1 is no longer a sport. It's just a show. The results are known in advance.

I had qualifying on this AM,... it didn't hold my interest...

    I just don't care anymore...

    Sad.

I think it would be Hilariously interesting if Seb and Perez switched cars for next qualifying.

Season 2005. No tyre changes. Three, count 'em three cars at the USA Grand Prix?

I wouldn't say worst season was 2005, but the worst race was in 2005 because of the USGP where only three teams raced. One of my favorite races was in 2005 with Kimi winning in Suzuka on the last lap after starting 17th. Plus they had V10s to listen to...

I said at the beginning of LAST SEASON that if its another Mercedes run away that F1 would die. After a few races of confirming their dominance there was no point in watching the rest of the season.

This year we are digging its grave.

Only two races in with I think most can admit the first being a real tense one throughout, how can one judge the season so early on as a failure? Relax and enjoy the ride and when we get to say October, then you have permission to make a call on the season at mid-point

Consecutive wins by the dominant team/car/driver of the day never killed F1.
We had that with McLaren, Williams, Ferrari, Red Bull, and now we have it with Mercedes.
