The current Maserati line-up, with the exception of the MC12 supercar, is exclusively V8-powered, so its possible that the CCs V6 is a bored-out version of the Alfas top-of-the-line 3.2-liter, 24 valve, 240 hp engine. The Alfa 166 is marketed as an executive class sports saloon, so expect the new Maserati to lean more towards boulevard cruising than heart-stopping performance.

The NSX didn't get away with it in 04 and 05. Acura will get on their knees and beg you to buy the NSX. Those cars don't move.

AGREED !!! If true, Put a Fork in Maser. Also compare the WEIGHT of a "N"ew "S"portscar e"X"perimental to a Maser. Has to be @ least 5-600 lbs lighter.
