I saw this car in 1999 in my small town ...at that time I wasn't even sure what kind of Ferrari it was,Nither it was worth millions Clearly I remember that I lifted it's hood and spotted a V12 inside then I heard it's engine and sounded full of power, ever since then everyone in this forum keeps telling me it was a replica ,eventually I managed to find other 2 pics of the same car ? can you tell if it's original if so who owns it? I assume it is n't likely to be a replica because here in mexico it would be impossible to find any part of a car this rare? waht do you think?

I think you have to accept the responses to your previous thread of the knowlegeable and credible guys here, who have pretty much dismissed this car as a "replica".

Especially if you go to this link:

and just compare the pix. Not much of a comparison in my opinion!
    Make your own decision.

    Urraco,

As I have said before somewhere this appears to be a Datsun conversion ... and it sounds liek somebody has put a v12 in her.

Look at the front windscreen and side window ... it is a Datsun Z's and not anything like a GTO's. I think also that I can see a touch of negative camber on the rear wheels ... er, impossible with the GTO's crude beam axle, but a Datsun Z has an independent rear.

You can keep asking, but the answers will always be the same ;).

You should PM Chelle, she owns one just like it.

Definitely a replica. I also agree that it appears to be Z-based. Martin, why don't you give us a close-up shot of the placard leaning against the car in the photo on the left?

Wheelbase proportions are way off. I'm going with the group here, its a converted Z car.

OK OK sorry it's a replica even tought I was told they sent that car to Pebble once... finally, also I recall it had just one big round taillight "a la" LM or 275 did any GTO had only one taillight instead of the 3 vertical small ones? is that a proof of being fake?

Not necessarily. 5095GT had Ford Cortina Mk 1 rear lights for a while, which were huge.

don't know how I missed this thread but this one is a z car based replica... it's been a while since I have seen any of the z based ones with a V12 .. if you can scan the pics higher res and e-mail them to me I'll tell you which car it is - who made the body etc...
Sorry I didn't respond when this was first posted.... it was a bad day ... today I just happened to be browsing past posts and noticed this..
    send to my real e-mail
    sysadmin @ corecomm.net

This is getting like a broken record ... The windscreen is VERY different, that is all we need to prove it is a fake. Have a look at a GTO and then your pictured Datsun, and if you need further proof then you need (new?) glasses!
