The first one is a Maisto as well, I have exactly the same one. As far as I can see, the only difference between the first one and the second one is the design of the rims. The first one (which I have) has the prototype rims I believe, the second one has the official Carrera GT rims. I have no idea why Maisto came up with two different editions.
The quality of the model is OK. The only thing that really dissapointed me is that you can not "pop up" the rear spoiler. But overall, I like it.

Those are both the same models.

Advantoy is only an Ebay seller, not the manufacturer. Maisto is the manufacturer. :)

    Haha, that's embarassing.
Well that's too bad about the spoiler but I don't mind much. I think I might grab one of those.
    Thanks for the info guys.

For better quality, you can think about those made by Autoart or Minichamps.

Autoart makes black and silver ones.

Minichamps makes red ones in normal packing and silver ones in Factory dealer box(...quite expensive piece...)

    Andrew,

Why not just go to Sams Club? Im certain the Maisto brand is carried there as I saw a dark silver CGT there perhaps 2-3 weeks ago. They are around the same price and you don't have to worry about shipping damage. As mentioned by SLK99, there are better models out there but on a college budget, just run over to Sams and you may find one lying around.

I've never been to Sams Club, I don't go shopping much. Thanks for the tip though, I'll definitely stop by there! I much prefer shopping in person over shopping online.

Autoart and Minichamp ones are definitely high-quality but way way over my budget.

that's a $ vs quality issue... anyways, I used to buy Kyosho, Minichamps, Autoart more than Maisto, unless other brands did not make the model, otherwise, I won't go for Maisto. However, I can see that Maisto has improved its quality over its models, i.e. MB SLK... CGT and Carrera 4S...

I have about 4 CGT, 2 AA (Blk and silver), 1 MC in red and 1 Maisto CGT concept in prosche dealer box. I found the one in prosche dealer box, the quality are slightly better than the Maisto normal ones.

The Maisto CGT is one of the best budget models you can find. For a model that only retails for $20, it is really a fantastic model.
