    Are the doors hinges on any 3x8's totally removable (both leaves) or are some (all) welded to the door side?

    it 'doesn't. The Op asked if complete hinge removal is possible and actually this sounds like a valid question as in this case you can probably remove the pins more easily

    one side of the hinge is welded to the door, the other side is mounted to the body frame with 3 large counter sunk bolts.

    The hinge pin is impossible to remove with the door in the car unless you are very lucky.
