My 458 Spider did not come with tire pressure/temp. monitoring system option, but it is something I would like to have on the car. Can it be added by the dealer?

Unless you track your car regularly, TPMS for daily use is highly over rated. Reasons...more electronics to manage or break/repair, added tire change expenses and hassle, wheel fitment issues, etc. If you are the type of car owners that never bother to check tire pressure regularly, then the feature may be helpful otherwise you won't miss it. Sorry for not being much help but just want to give you a different perspective.

I would guess so, since it's proposed as part of the "Ferrari genuine" program.

I had it added to my 458 and was actually a reasonable priced option if I recall

Thank you for the help. I still may not add it, as I do appreciate the feedback from "tobewiser". With that said, it really feels like something every modern car should have these days. All five of my Porsches have it as a standard feature.

It was not possible to retrofit it to my 2011 car. Your dealer needs to check the VIN with the factory build records to see if the loom has the TMPS wiring.
