Hi Ed! You must have a nice Islero collection by now! Please bring some articles on the 24th July. I will be bringing the Islero articles from the Marcel de Lange Collection, including some very early stuff as well! Ciao! Marcel
Hi everyone, Here is my new stainless steel exhaust for the Islero. It comes from Stebro in Canada. The job done is truly amazing. The quality of the weldings and of the coating is jaw dropping. Can't wait to fit it! I chose stainless steel rather than the original Ansa in steel because I wanted something bulletproof. However, the shape is really similar to the original and I'll put some "Ansa" stickers for a better match... PS: sorry for the bad resolution picture. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi everyone, Today I went to visit Porsche in Stuttgart with a friend of mine. We were greeted by a friend who works there. Going back, I just saw this 911 with 6300 on its number plate. Very nice coincidence! Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is the second time I go to Germany with the Iselro. One year ago, the motor was not broken in and I couldn't exceed 3000 rpm. This time, everything is ok and we could really enjoy the ride. The Islero is a very fast and potent sportcar, even by modern standard. The only exception being the brakes. On top of that it is really very confortable and feels safe at high speed. What a nice ride! Unfortunately, the highway was packed with trucks, however we could manage to find some very nice unlimited sections. Germany is a very nice country for that. Holy Cow! I didn't realize you were doing such an involved restoration! My favorite pic is the pile of discarded metal that's been replaced. Any estimate of how many hours will be in the body when its ready for primer/paint?
Hi all, Here are a few pictures to get an impression from the Islero meeting I organised in Holland yesterday. It was a perfect day! All the owners showed up, except for Ed, who unfortunatly had some trouble with his Islero while driving to the event. Ed, I'm very sorry for you that you could not make it. We had Lou Herrin from the USA (alias Mr. Islero himself) as a special guest, and he had the time of his life! We did a Concours d'Elegance, that was big fun and very learnfull. We also had the protipo car, so the very first, and the very last chassisnumber, nice to have these two cars together. The last Islero meeting was in 1999, when our dear friend Paul Cox got 5 Islero's together in England. I think we might have broken the new world record now ;-) Ciao! Marcello, Thank you soooooo much for your organisation. Your event was pretty cool : the location awesome, the food delicious and the Islero family members so kind... all these Lambo fellows were commited in an exceptionnal meeting... Uno, Doe, Peter, Wil, Stefan, Julian and so many others... I'm so happy to have met my very good friend Lou, who inspired me to create the Jarama Registry and who help in my search to discover Islero Le Mans racer. I'm only sad that Edouard didn't make it... it would have been great to have you with us !
I would have been so pleased to be with all of you and to meet you in person... However, lady Islero didn't want to be the 13th party for dinner, so she decided to break her wiper motor during a rain storm and I had to go back. The trip back was a little scary, especially in a tunnel when mist fromed on the windshield and I couldn't see anything... It was exactly when I had Marcel on the phone to let him know that I couldn't attend: he must have been scared by my voice! The pictures a truly wonderful and I sincerely hope that we can organize a similar event in the next future. Congratulations to Marcel for the organization and to you all for having made it possible! I suggest to put Rain-X (or another similar product) onto the windscreen, I don't need the wiper above 80kmh at all...
Thanks Joe! You know what it is to get a few exotic and very exclusive Italian cars together in one place. Takes a lot of time, but if it finally works out as planned, it's just like a dream come true! Here are some more pictures, taken by Martin Zomer Last one by myself ;-) Ciao! Bravo Bravo Marcel! Fantastic job! And congratulations to the owners also. Any other photos with all cars together and chassis no also? Philippe M S2 7987
YES, it is an absolute labor of love to organize any kind of Reunion! Reunions always show how the owners of that particular variant care about their cars. BRAVO Marcel.
Hi Philippe, This panorama picture was sent by Kevin, very nice! I have put the numbers with the cars. @ your service! Marcello Image Unavailable, Please Login

Aha, that's the ex-John Britton UK car. They have the VIN wrong, #6151 does not even exist, this is #6156. for US $179,000.00, I rather would buy a nice 400 GT 2+2. Thanks for the link Peter! Marcel
The add mentions '"only 17 with factory Borrani wire wheels". This is not the first time I hear this number. Was this only available on the Islero GT or also on the Islero GTS? Anyone who has the VIN's for those 17.
Hello my fellow Lambo nuts! I wanted to introduce myself as an Islero owner. Last year I bought chassis # 6183 which from what I can make out is one of the earlier cars with the aforementioned borrani option wheels. I bought it from America from an elderly gentleman requiring some mechanical attention. It is now with me in the UK and we are almost finished rebuilding and/or replacing every moving component (engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, etc. etc.). I sincerely look forward to joining you on the continent for any Islero reunions that you might be organizing in the future! Best regards, Arnoud
