Check out this great collage of footage of the Islero being driven by Roger Moore in the 1970 film "The Man Who Haunted Himself": http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=h9MH4tzY_68
Hi Olivier, Congratulations with this unique find! Can you tell us how you found it? Looking at the picture it seems a bit neglected and forgotten, correct? I like these barn-find stories. The trailer picture is not taken by Marcel de Lange, but I found it in his collection and I believe I have sent it to you in the past. Well done Olivier! Ciao! Marcel PS: Nice Avatar ;-)
Hi Emilio, Do you have any more pictures of this Islero #6387 that was auctioned at Padova? Grazie e ciao! Marcello

Hi everyone, Apparently Joe Sackey sold 6201: http://www.joesackey.com/NewEntries/1968%20ex-Ferruccio%20Lamborghi%20Islero%206201/ Joe, if you read us, do you have some new pictures of it? Would be very interesting!
The Islero pictured with Ferruccio has nothing to do with #6201. The picture was clearly taken from my post #1 of this thread, and a little photoshopped ;-) Very nice picture by the way! Pictures of the well known ex Paul von Heeder Islero #6201 can be seen at post #34 of this thread. Would like to know for how much it went though, somebody I know here in Holland is seriously looking for an Islero. Ciao! Marcello
Thanks for the precision...quiet interesting to know... Regarding #6387, many comments were done on another forum : engine need complete overhaul + many others mechanical problem to fix (brakes & clutch), paint wasn't great if you look at it closely.
I'm assuming #6000, the first one as it was light blue... May be our friend Lou Herrin may answer correctly. I will ask him.
Yes I know chassis number 6000 finished in "Blu Ischia". My question was, can anybody CONFIRM the chassis number of the Islero in the image with Ferruccio (which is at the beginning of this thread, but which I also have in a publication as used on my site). I have a specific reason for asking this question...
Well, I believe I can confirm you #6000 is the real VIN of that car... If you have in hands (sorry my scanner is out) Serge Bellu's Lamborghini book, page 100, you will notice a picture shoot on 16th february 1968 at the Press presentation at Sant Agata. Angle is different, but that picture is so similar to the one you are "using", because Ferruccio has exactly same clothes, same haircut and is standing next to Mr. Marazzi. #6000 is right at the same place... So can you tell us more about your specific reason ?
On that particular picture you can see that the car seats' have headrests which confirms that it is 6000 (the only 400GT Islero with headrests). You can also see that on other pictures that were apparently taken the same day and which appeared in the March 1968 issue of Intrepido, an Italian magazine. I tried to scan them on posts 158 and 166: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138180628&postcount=158 http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138216608&postcount=166
