Club members car there is a 454 lurking under there. This car has only had two owners. The former owner George Bassett purchased the car from the factory.
It looks like the bottom of the grill opening has maybe been changed(due to an accident?). I think its also still missing the grill. I saw that car at Road America a few weeks ago. I saw a Nice silver, I think 1966 GL at the Ferrari Concours in Chicago 3 years ago. Also saw 3 in the parking lot at downtown Monterey back in 2005. There is more than I can describe. The two vents shouldn't shouldn't have protrusions coming off them compare car in post # 22 . The headlights are set too far back. Maybe its the angle but the fender arches look off. On the tail end the body seam has been ground off.
Looks nice, other thas I doubt it came from the factory with those wire wheels. Wires were very rare(and ugly) on this car!. Tom Tanner/Ferrari Expo 2010 model/photo contest-Chicago April 2010
That doesn't sound right to me - see picture in post 22 etc - I'd have said most series 1 at least came with wire - here's another Image Unavailable, Please Login
Standard equipement on early GL's was 6X15 Rudge Whitworth electron ultra light metal alloy wheels made by Campagnolo. Later series I cars also offered 7X15 Campagnolo wheels. The wires were optional. The series II cars had 7X15 Campagnolo wheels of a different design standard with wires optional. The Can Am didn't offer wires. TT
Borrani's were an option on all Iso cars and often used. I like the Campy look, but many prefer the Borrani's. In addition Borrani made a Steel/ alloy mag rarely seen with the Rudge pattern and the later 4 bolt pattern.
I owned Iso Grifo targa 0289 briefly.. currently for sale with thiessen in Hamburg.. Originally Orange and today in a rather boring greyish colour.. but the steering ... terrible.. just like an american muscle car... Try and find a Bizzarrini sterring box instead of the Iso one... Would make a big difference.. To clarify what Thiessen claim, this car was ORDERED ar the Geneva car show by the swedish king's best friend, Björn Kruger.. and not A Turin show car as they mistakenly claim.. Nik/Biz5300
Steering box's are slow, but feel excellent at high speed. Many of the box's are mis adjusted. A quicker ratio box gear was made also.
Yes, but I will let the owner introduce this car.[/QUOTE] I am not the owner but saw this car in Monza 2009. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Exclusive Interview Bizzarrini http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZZI-y3YTyY 4 Parts, the others are coming
Great stuff. Speaks French just like my father. I circulated the link to my Italian speaking friends and they didn't need the subtitles even if their French was poor. Just goes to show that Italian cars get their passione from their creators.
I have some clown trying to sell me this car obviously a scam. see http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=258259&page=2 Image Unavailable, Please Login
