Looking for anyones help on this.

There has been a separate discussion about fixing a child's seat to the CF race seat with an ISOFIX system. would love to be able to share my ferrari experience with my young boy so really hoping that its a standard fitment on all cars globally. so far a fellow FChat member (superquant) has had experience with his US car, but unfortunately has traded in his vehicle already...

for those who have their car now, would you be able to take and post a picture of the seat where the backrest and the seat meet? any signs of an ISOFIX mounting point? also do let us know if its from a US spec car or wherever else's spec it is...

thanks in advance and appreciate your help!

Have inspected mine tonight and mine defiantly does not have isofix mounts
Mine is a uk spec 2011 with the large carbon seats.
Doesn't really bother me too much, I have still ordered up the merc kidfix seat as I understand from supers quant it is narrow enough to fit I between the bolsters which will keep it snug
The seatbelt across the lap and over the shoulder through the seat I feel is secure enough to take my 5 yr old out regardless of isofix

Don't know how the airbag over ride works, my seat arrives Monday so will see then. Never quite sure why u would want the airbag off anyway, I mean surely if the child is forward facing as u r then in the event of a front end collision why would u not want an airbag to deploy?

The principal of an airbag depends on a minimum mass it's decelerating else it's more dangerous than safe.

The force from the airbag inflation exceeds what a child (or and small person) can take.

Interesting ... If the child is in a seat with sides that are further forward than the body are they not protected?... Obviously a grown up is just sat in a seat so they take the airbag full on, a kid in a child seat typically sits 'in' the seat if indeed its a good seat with side protection, so would of thought The airbag 'sting' would be taken by The seat sides
Interested in any comments on this as obviously interested on what is safest for children, and u have no idea really just my supposition !!
