Anyone else being constantly redirected by the Lovoo banner/adverts to the Apple App Store? Every single page I load gets redirected by the banner....

Is anyone else having a problem viewing this site using an iPad?
I have been coming to this site for a couple of years now and had no problems until today, every time i open a page the non sponsor games adverts like 'world of war' etc automatically redirect me to their page, without me even touching their button/link.
Love the ferrrarichat site but this is a Pain in the A.....

Yep. Those adds are opening my App Store app every time I open a topic, without me selecting anything. Very very annoying. Using another browser instead of Safari seems to help.

Strange that previous non sponsor adverts did not have this problem, just appears to be the gaming ones?
To the administrator of ferrarichat, I understand that generating revenue from your site through these adverts is a good idea, but I would like the option to decide if I want to open these adverts or not.
Hope it gets fixed, as this is a fantastic site minus this one issue.

It's not just gaming and not just ipads. My spam is from an outfit called lovelink. It's a known popup spam virus that is infecting the ad engine. It's javascript that loads the popup and redirects the user regardless of user confirmation or exit. The yahoo ads engine is hosting this crapware at the moment. I don't mind viewing targetted ads but this stuff is invasive and verging on malware.

Unfortunately there's nowhere on this forum to notify the mods of technical issues.

Anyone get the pop ups on a desktop computer? Not mobile or Tapatalk.

    Any subscriber getting the ads?

I don't want the pop ups for anyone, but I need to see if one of my ad scripts overstepped or if there is someone else's script hacked in.

You try reporting post to mod or the big Contact Us link at bottom right of every page?

Thanks for the info, it will help me track down the problem. Thanks.

Ah, turning off support for Javascript in Safari indeed helps. I even don't see the adds at all now ;-). But turning this support off wil surely introduce other 'problems' when browsing.

Thanks for spotting the post, Rob. Desktop is clear; I'm seeing this on Chrome / Nexus 4 and 10. A google for lovelink.us popup ad malware will bring you much info. I think you can blacklist them on your ad server but the ipad report in the OP suggests there are multiple rogue advertisers exploiting the js.

I was getting them on my phone when I wasn't logged in as a subscriber. I didn't note if it changed if I logged in though.

Not getting them when logged in here on iPad.

Now I see it :) Sorry I didn't review all the meta; you normally see a forum area for discussing web technicals. But I fully understand your reluctance to do that ;) I didn't think of reporting the post as I thought that route reserved for bad behaviour by posters.

I wonder if this all started with the latest JavaScript update?

Same problem. It is an IOS issue. They enabled this behavior (JavaScript button press) in a recent update and the ad people picked right up on it

Only solution is to use another browser or turn off JavaScript.

I guess Apple doesn't want people using safari.

No, it isn't an iOS issue. It is a problem on the ad server side.

Come on Rob, your slipping...your suppose to take the opportunity to pitch them to subscribe to FC so they don't get those ads anymore.
