Has anyone out there had a issue with the hydraulic system on there car? And if so how did you resolve it?
I've just replaced the roof frame, tried the unit and found that the Rams are not moving at the same time and rate. The unit is full of oil and runs in both directions.
Or should I remove the system and have it overhaul?

    Cheers!
    Roger

Have you properly bled the hydraulics?

Just did a search of Fchat and found a post and recommend a complete flush and bleeding of system. So I'll try that over the weekend.

Sounds like the compensation valve bleeder wasn't done. New fluid and proper bleeding at both locations won't hurt. The stuff I pulled out of mine was about as thick as molasses.

I've just bled the hydraulics and I've got the main Rams working as they should, but I not able to get it to operate on the control switch. When it's engaged it just makes a bepeing sound, but nothing is moving. The only way to operate the roof at this time is by way of the emergency switch.
Has anyone had this issue and know of a way to resolve?

    Thanks
    Roger

Yes, if it just beeps at you then the causes are:

    1. Windows not down
    2. Parking brake not pulled up
    3. Seat not moved forward or failed potentiometer
    4. Microswitch inop

It looks as if it's one or both Potentiometer on under the seats, everything else checks out fine. I'll pull the seats and update the findings. After this much time and funds I'm just not going to make it a manual top and also it's my wife's car and if I ever hope to get my 360 or 430 I've got to get this one repaired. But I've also got to find a home for my 348ts.

    Cheers!
    Roger

Good job. Converting it to manual is not a solution , its a compromise. It's a Ferrari. Love it and fix it!
