Ferrari variable camshaft is not Paolo Martinelli's (Ferrari F1 director) idea, but mine. I published my idea in a newspaper two years before Ferrari patented it. I tried to get in contact with them, I even said that I was going to publish the details, but to no avail. Do you think it's dangerous to play around with a company of that caliber? The financial gain is not as important to me as the moral satisfaction.

Why don't you post a link to a scan of the article?

You say you had an idea 2 years before Ferrari got a patent.

Did you do anything to protect your idea.....like get a patent? Or, did you simply publish your idea for all to see and use?

    cross-post this in "Off Thread/Business & Investments"
Maybe you can get some "free" legal advice.......
Or just get yourself a good IP attorney & go after them......
Not like this is the first time someone had the idea first and did not benefit without some serious legal intervention......
But usually, publication alone will not be enough to enable you to prevail.....(firsthand experience speaking....)

PS anyway, look at all the failure/liability issues they're dealing with now.......

Time delay windshield wipers were patented by an individual and the patent was ignored by every major auto company in the world. Slam dunk case. It took the inventor decades to win against Ford, that settlement is being used to finance the litigation against other car companies. The only people that will profit are the lawyers and his grandchildren.

I don't know if you have a case or a claim but wish you luck.

I think I remember reading about you somewhere else than in our Auto Klub magazine.

Nadam se da si pitao neke pravnike da ti pomognu pri vodjenju ovog slucaja, I šta su rekli, je li imas nekih osnova sa tuzbu?

As far as the dangers, I don't see how they could do any if you don't count legal expencess that is.

PS. ''istina'' means ''the truth'' in Croatian for all you who dont speak the language.

It appears you are for real, in which case i apoligise as i thought you where trolling.

While a site like this may help with some different ideas/views you really should be seeing a lawyer that specialises in patents
